On a trip to Toronto we stopped off to see Niagra Falls. The weather wasn't the greatest, but I was able to catch a shot of the falls.
This is another fall on the White Oak Canyon trail. The sun was filtering through the tree tops and lighting the foamy surface.
This is a closer view of the cascading waterfall of White Oak Canyon Trail. I was using a long exposure to blur the water. The light from the tree tops was filtering in to ignite the fall.
This is another segment of falls along the White Oak Canyon trail. I took a longer expores of this fall to accentuate the cascading effect fo the water.
This is another section of the White Oak Canyon fall. This section was like a small cove that you can look down on from above. The cove was in shadow but the many colors of leaves created a warm cozy feel.
Small waterfall pouring from pool to pool. I really like the formation of the small pools as they cascaded down from pool to pool.

Water rushes down from the waterfalls at White Oak Canyon just after a deep snow.
On the stream that leads away from White Oak Canyon in Shenandoah Valley, there are many pools of water that form. The streams are always rushing over large boulders. Sometimes the streams run into trees that have fallen across the streams path. Here, a tree has fallen and landed right in the spot where the stream falls over a large boulder. Oddly shaped Icicles have formed from the water that has splashed up from the stream.
This is a view of the lower falls at White Oak Canyon in the snow.

This is a sheet of ice that had formed on a rock and was over hanging the waterfall.
After a sudden and early deep snow water from the White Oak Canyon Lower Falls was rushing rapidly down stream. The water was sparking clear busting through the frozen branches and rocks.

At the bottom of the falls the creek has a bunch of round stones all covered in snow.
The base of White Oak Canyon Falls from the bridge that begins the upward hike. The round stones covered with snow are a bit different in shape from the more rugged stones found up toward the falls.

After torrential rains, flooded streets, and swollen creeks, the water rushes down through Great Falls. There was so much water, the falls looked more like rapids

The shuttle bus stops at Toklat river to give riders a bathroom break, and an opportunity to take photographs of the Toklat river.
Valdez, although a small, and not so pretty town, has some of the most dramatic and amazing landscape. On the way into Valdez the road passes between the small crevice where two mountains meet. Along the road, on either side of the moutons are waterfalls that seem to pour down on top of you.
Caves arond Bon Ami mine are filled with water. Here, streams of water running off from the hillsides cascade down into the pond.
This is a view from the Bon Ami mine looking towards another mine entrance, near the waterfall, that has been filled with water.
